Are you aged from 6 to 25 and looking for fun and adventure?  If so, why not become a member of the Scout movement and you will have the opportunity to do a wide range of activities. In the younger sections you will go on visits, play games and go camping. As you progress to the older sections you will have the opportunity to do more adventurous activities such as kayaking, climbing, abseiling (see our activities page) and visiting other countries.

Welcome to the website of Southend Estuary District Scouts, where you can find out details of your local group, more about what you may do as a member of the Scout Association, the latest district news, as well as details of district events, and lots of other information.

Our district is made up of the following areas of Central Southend, Prittlewell, Southchurch, Thorpe Bay, Shoeburyness, Wakering and Barling. In these areas, we have 16 Scout groups, including one group for special needs members, and six Explorer Scout Units.

Boys and girls between the the ages of 6 and 18 are welcome to join scouting in Southend Estuary as Scouts or Explorer scouts. Adults are also welcome to join as leaders, assistant leaders, section assistants or members of Network or Fellowship units.
