The Serbia and Montenegro Scout Network (SAMNET) is organising an Explorer Belt Expedition in 2011 giving all Scout Network & Girl Guiding UK members age 18 to 24 a chance to complete their Explorer Belt.

3 Scouts, 3 Explorer Young Leaders and 3 Adults from 4th Braintree are off to Finland to enjoy some summer Centenary fun with the Guides and Scouts at international camp Kilke.

A CD of 50 favourite campfire songs, recorded as part of a Sweden 2011 IST member's fund-raising efforts, has sold nearly 200 copies, with orders coming in from as far afield as Orkney and Australia!

Last month members of Stanford-le-Hope & District Scout Active Support Unit took part in the David Clare Archery Competition. The day saw the members take part in a number of archery challenges including shooting through woodland and bushes at targets partly obscured as well as the more conventional target practice on an open range.

Scouts of the World Award in the UK is a unique traing award for members of the Scout Network. It comprises attendance at a Scouts of the World Discovery (4 or 5 days), a period of reflection, and the completion of a Scouts of the World Voluntary Service (14 days).
